Declaring this year – believers in San Bernardino County will come alive by the power of the Holy Spirit. Their lives will be so changed that those around them will ask them how it happened. The Gospel will be preached with boldness from a fresh awakened state.
Jesus’ cross work is our bridge from what we were to what He wants us to be. What if instead of simply acknowledging our sins, we added a prayer to do the opposite? That we would pray to demonstrate change in our behaviors, actions, attitudes and thoughts. What if we didn’t dwell on how bad and messed up, we are, but instead dwell on the gracious partnering work of the Lord to completely transform us? That, we would allow the Holy Spirit a metamorphosis in us. From caterpillar to butterfly.
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 2 Cor. 5:17 NLT
Revival occurs when people change in such a miraculous way that those around them see it. The revived are transformed by a work from the Lord. Their change comes from seeing a Savior who is just and merciful. The revived come alive through confession of sins AND submitting to the work of God in their lives.
For the month of January, we're calling on the One who is more than able to change us. Our prayer focus will be on the transformation of believers. Praying they Wake Up – Be So Transformed – Affect Others.
